Gratitude For Where We Are, Where We Came From & Where We Are Going

We all have heard how challenging it is to remodel, or build a home, yet many of us go for it anyway. All the initial planning is exciting, the drawing up of ideas, new furniture, flooring, the excitement of the “upgrade” builds until one day you decide, “Okay, let’s do this!”

Then reality hits. All the “surprises,” the “estimates” that end of being a bit (or a lot) higher, the phone calls, the miscommunications, the juggling of multiple contractors and their busy schedules, the “living in chaos,” the adapting to unforeseen circumstances…

But then, it ALL starts to come together. As you look at your bruised and bandaged self, you realize you might just make it through and heal from all the trauma…and you can take a deep breath again, one like you haven’t been able to take since it all started on Day 1.

And you realize you are simply grateful. And it was all worth it. Then you realize, when you’re not in the “thick of it,” that it really was amazing how everyone was coordinated so well, and how some of the mishaps were blessings in disguise.

In that place of gratitude, you find that you are still whole and now not only “you” get to enjoy the “upgrade,” but everyone else that you welcome into your space gets to enjoy the upgrade!

It has been a wild ride over the past 5 months, with our remodel and expansion, and we’re probably still one month away from complete completion, but we are well over the “hump.”

My hope is that you can relate if you’ve done a remodel project, or built a home, it is truly a crazy journey! And my hope is that the above words may resonate with ANY challenge you are facing, because the principles of gratitude and doing your best to “find calm in chaos,” and mentally striving to only focus on what you can control are quite timeless and transcend subjects of challenging circumstances.

So here we are.

We have a wellness center now!!!

It has been my goal and dream for over 10 years to incorporate more services to offer you upgraded TRUE HEALTH CARE.

We partnered with an idea called, 8 weeks to wellness. It is a national wellness program that originated over 17 years ago in Pennsylvania by a phenomenal chiropractor named, Dr. Dane Donohue. (Crazy side note, his brother is a police officer here in Grand Junction, CO!)

8 weeks to wellness is like no other wellness program, it includes: chiropractic, massage, nutrition, personal training, and mindfulness practices. The results are dramatic improvement in transforming health and well-being. Blood pressure, cholesterol, chronic pain and weight decreases, while muscle mass, mental health, clarity, and energy increases, all 100% naturally, and better yet, it’s sustainable change!

We just had our Beta group complete the 8 weeks to wellness program in our office and the results were simply amazing. Many of them are saying bye-bye to chronic issues and embracing the rewards of engaging a wellness lifestyle.

I would love to invite you to a dinner we are hosting on Thursday, September 23rd where we will be launching 8 weeks to wellness as Dr. Dane Donohue will be traveling from Pennsylvania to present all the details of what this wellness program can do for you. It will be at The Glorious Fig in downtown Grand Junction at 6:30 pm.

Seating is limited, so if you are interested, please do not hesitate, you can RSVP by clicking this link, calling or texting Jessie at 970-263-9100, by Thursday, September 16th. Dinner is on us!

Lastly, there are so many people that contributed to our remodel project that I would love to thank…

I would love to thank our main remodel man, Mr. Scott Callas. He is such a hard worker, a great communicator, and a genuinely kind dude. He’s tough as nails and gets the job done right. Bill Hays, our plumber moved sinks, installed new and improved toilets and he’s been my go-to guy for nearly 18 years! Dave Dashner did our electrical work; he loves what he does and he’s excellent at it. Networks Unlimited switched our phones to our new space and made sure everything was up and running smoothly. Tyler Plunk (Abby, our former front desk receptionist’s brother) installed our flooring, and Gallagher’s flooring provided our top-notch LVT and gym floor. They were awesome to work with, very responsive, and thorough with their help from start to finish! Portia, my fiancé, and her genius helped me mold my two paint color choices into four beautiful choices and Kendi Sisac (interior decorator) helped us with some new ideas and solidified our choices, giving us much needed peace of mind as we painted our previous unit. Bill Trinklein, an expert drywaller helped us refine some patch areas, and finally, a gal I found on Etsy, Mrs. Amanda Frazer designed and built our front desk and T-bar wall in between our adjusting tables…all the way from Minnesota!

We are so very grateful for everyone that was involved in the complex process of our remodel!

I also want to thank Jessie, who started with us in early April, and quite literally since she started with us, was the moment we began this undertaking. She has been AMAZING throughout the entire process, so very adaptable, helpful (long hours outside of work shifts), and patient as she’s changed her front desk setup several times as we made the move.

Julie, our trainer has helped immensely, and she even recruited her entire family (her husband and boys) to come build gym equipment and set up her awesome gym.

My parents, Ron and Merry Sechrist have put in many hours helping, (and babysitting) …too many to count. I am so appreciative of them for their help.

My fiancé, Portia has been my rock of support and encouragement. There is no way I could have done this without her. I am so grateful for her being there, offering ideas, supporting my ideas, and ALWAYS telling me to go for my dream of building a wellness center.

I would also like to take a moment to THANK YOU! You witnessed us move, you came into the office when it was in disarray, when we had several weeks of no flooring, only one bathroom, a lot of noise, a lot of dust, and most of you didn’t miss a beat in keeping up with your chiropractic care. So, truly, thank you so much for your patience and understanding, and for being a part of our growth and expansion.

We are so pleased to finally welcome you to Elevation Now Wellness Center!!
